About Canary Edge
Making industrial anomaly detection accessible and affordable.
Why we built Canary Edge
In March 2026, Microsoft announced the retirement of Azure Anomaly Detector. Thousands of teams running production anomaly detection pipelines were left scrambling for alternatives. We had been working on next-generation time-series models and saw an opportunity to build something better.
Canary Edge started as a drop-in replacement: same API contract, same JSON schema, zero code changes. But under the hood, we replaced the legacy detection engine with LeWM -- a self-supervised world model that learns the physics of your machines without labeled data. The result is faster inference, better accuracy, and features Azure never offered.
Our Mission
Make industrial anomaly detection accessible to every team, at every scale, without requiring a PhD in machine learning.

What we believe
Open Source Roots
We believe the best developer tools are built in the open. Our detection engine is informed by years of open source research in self-supervised learning, and we contribute back to the community.
Developer First
Every API endpoint, every error message, every line of documentation is designed for developers. We ship tools we would want to use ourselves.
Enterprise Ready
Production workloads demand reliability, security, and compliance. We build for the scale and rigor that enterprise teams require from day one.
